Patterns Made with Intention

NASSEWINGDIY is an independent sewing pattern studio built on one belief — that a well-designed pattern should feel as good to sew as the finished garment feels to wear. Every design is hand-drafted, fit-tested, and refined before it reaches you.

Based in a small studio, powered by a love of slow, thoughtful making — and trusted by sewists worldwide.

Our Story

It Started at a Small Table

It began with a second-hand machine, a pile of fabric scraps, and a pattern I drafted for myself. It wasn't perfect — but it fit me. Friends asked for the pattern, then friends of friends, and I understood what I truly loved wasn't just sewing clothes — it was giving people the confidence to create for themselves.

"I don't release a pattern until I would wear the result myself — that is the only standard that matters."

Every pattern in this shop is hand-drafted on paper, tested in multiple fabrics, and refined until the fit feels honest and the construction feels natural. I want each design to feel like a knowledgeable friend working beside you — clear steps, no confusion, and a finish you are proud of.

The Journey

From a First Order to a Growing Studio

The honest story of how NASSEWINGDIY grew — one pattern, one customer, one stitch at a time.

01

The Turning Point

One of the biggest turning points in my journey was when I started selling my own designs on Etsy. Creating patterns from scratch, testing them, refining every detail, and making sure the instructions were truly clear — it was exciting and, honestly, a little terrifying. I kept asking myself: Will customers understand this? Will beginners be able to follow it without frustration?

My goal has always been simple — to create patterns that work for everyone. Not just confident sewists, but absolute beginners who need clarity, encouragement, and a process that does not make them feel lost.

02

The First Order

I still remember my first order. Then the second. That feeling was something I cannot fully put into words. But the most rewarding part of all — even now — is seeing what my customers create.

Watching someone take my pattern and turn it into something beautiful with their own fabric, their own hands, their own creativity — that is what truly makes me happy. Every finished piece becomes unique. Every photo a customer shares is a reminder of why I do this.

"Every piece becomes unique — and that is something truly special."

03

Always Improving

I am always learning. I regularly go back to older patterns, refine the instructions, improve the fit, and make them better. A pattern is never truly finished — it evolves with feedback, with new fabrics, with better understanding of what makers actually need.

Looking ahead, I am excited to create new collections — for children, for men, for special occasions, and new silhouettes inspired by what I discover every day on platforms like Pinterest and beyond.

My long-term vision is to bring these digital patterns into physical form as well — new formats, new possibilities, new ways to share this craft with the world.

04

The People Behind It

I am not doing this alone. I am genuinely lucky to have an incredible team who support this journey every day — Alejandra, Rashika, Sojon, and many others. Their dedication, attention to detail, and care for every pattern help bring each design to life.

And behind everything — my husband. He supports me, sparks new ideas, helps me choose designs, and we spend hours discussing new creations together. His support is not just helpful — it means everything.

This studio is built on love — for craft, for community, and for the people in it.

What We Stand For

Our Values

These are not marketing words — they are the principles I apply to every single pattern I release.

01

Honest Design

Every design is drafted to work — not just to look good in a flat illustration. The fit you see in the preview is the fit you get from the pattern.

02

Inclusive Sizing

All patterns include sizes 2XS to 5XL in a single layered file. Sewing should be for everyone — regardless of body size or shape.

03

Clear Instructions

Instructions are written and illustrated for real people — including beginners. If a step is complicated, I explain it twice.

04

Sustainable Making

Sewing your own clothes reduces waste and fast fashion consumption. I design patterns to be timeless — not trend-driven — so you make things you will wear for years.

05

Accessible Craft

PDF patterns make sewing accessible globally — instant download, print at home or at any copy shop. No waiting, no shipping, no barriers.

06

Personal Support

Every message gets a personal reply — from me, not a chatbot. If you are stuck, send me a message. I will always help you find a solution.
